Acrylic Wedding Iinvitations

We were so lucky to do work with Despina on her wedding invitations. She came in with event planner Katie from Lafete and said I want something that will WOW my guest. She took one look at these acrylic invitations and knew that the search was over. Special thanks to James from Walters and Walters who send us these images from her amazing wedding. Lyn from Fresh Affairs did all the amazing florals for this extravagant wedding at the Grand Marquise.

Custom or online wedding invitations ????

You wouldn't dream of buying your wedding dress or flowers online,

but how about wedding invitations? If you are putting a lot of thought into every detail of that special day and really want your guest to know that your wedding is not a cookie cutter one...then the answer is simple..NEVER! Your wedding invitations might be the only part of your wedding that some of your guest will ever see.

Some brides I've worked with have said the words custom had intimidated them at first. Custom invitations do not have to brake the bank, they might be slightly more than online invitations but the old saying "you get, what you pay" is very true when it comes to paper and print quality. There have been a few unhappy brides who have come to me after getting their online invitations who were so disappointed that they had to toss them in the trash and start all over, having already spent time and money that they can not get back.

Crane, Vera Wang, Martha Stewart and William Arthur wedding invitations all have the same problem in common. You can go to their website, click on an image and order the same exact invitation that your best friends sister just ordered yesterday. That is why custom wedding invitations are so important to many brides.

It is VERY important to proofread your invitations and here are a few tips to keep in mind! When getting your proofs via email you should always print to size. Read you invitation and all other enclosures aloud. If possible have some one listen and read along as you read it out. Check the spelling of all names. Check all dates and numbers carefully. Check that all locations, times, dates and address's were included. In RSVP make sure there is a space provided for the guest names, the return by date, the food option if needed and the number attending. Check the overall layout of the invitation. Make sure you got the right size, color, spacing etc. See if you can hand it out to someone who is not familiar with the details and have them proofread. Don't forget that your invitation designer or retailer does not know the datails of your event as intimately as you do and in most cases proofreading is NOT part of their service.

Where to put the wedding website?

Your "save the date" cards are the perfect place to mention your wedding website. However for those of you who did not have one at that time or just forgot, a "wedding details" card is a great way to send it out with your invitations. You should never include it on the invitation.
